COVID RESTRICTIONS from 19th March 2021

Fishing is Permitted, but anglers must maintain the Social Distancing Rules at all times and abide by all Covid regulations. We are strictly following The Angling Trust advice as published HERE

As a consequence, we are pleased to tell you that Loompit will be “open for business”, albeit with sensible restrictions. Please make sure you have read and understood the advice given by the Angling Trust and that you are in a position to fully comply with the personal requirements.

Government Guidelines can change at any time and will override any information we offer.

Our guidelines here are merely to highlight the very basics. They are not intended to be comprehensive.
Beware of unsubstantiated published articles.
The most reliable sources come from the Angling Trust and Government Publications.

Member’s Covid Rules.

Maintain 2 metres distance and do not exceed 6 in a group.
Members must provide their own Covid protection (eg. Gloves sanitizer). Even if we put sanitizer outside the shed, we could not guarantee it wouldn’t be removed or sabotaged by someone?
Don’t do anything that puts yourself or others at risk – As individuals, we have a responsibility to stay safe and protect others!

You must record your visit
The signing-in shed should not be used
Recording your visit –Jotform is the easiest method and, very importantly, make yourself known by looking at the camera over the sign-in shed
The Jotform Link is HERE (as a last resort, you may let Nigel know directly of your visit)

Fish deliveries can continue, within livestock movement regulations.
We will be permitted to ensure the property is safe and secure.
We will not be permitted to work together on a limited basis.

KEITH SIMPSON

Keith

In Memory of Keith who passed away on 9th May 202

Keith was a real character and anyone that met him wouldn’t forget in a hurry. He was passionate about “his trout” and would do whatever it took to maintain their welfare.
The fact that the grounds today are well kept is very much down the legacy he started when he became Club Bosun and Vice Chairman.
Keith overcame his physical restrictions with remarkable courage, determination and tenacity. He would work tirelessly for the Club, very often completely on his own. We were frequently astonished at what he could achieve. He would reward himself with precious time on the slab and grass trying to execute the perfect cast. Casting was as important to Keith as fishing itself.
